The Perfect Hostess Gift

Like all good southern girls I was raised with the understanding that you never go to anyone’s house empty handed.  For my family, that usually meant a overfilled basket of something fresh from the field or a —— baked good, like a delicious jelly layer cake or coconut pie.

That tradition is not lost on me in current times.

Hostess gifts do not need to be elaborate or costly.
